In 2002, PGS-MN Member John Rys began indexing records for the five Polish Catholic Churches in Minneapolis. He started with the Church of St. Philip and then continued with three Polish Roman Catholic parishes: Holy Cross, St Hedwig’s and All Saints and one Polish National parish: Sacred Heart of Jesus. Holy Cross is the oldest and largest church associated with Polish immigrants in Minneapolis.
Once these church indexes were completed, John continued on to Polish Catholic Churches in St. Paul and adjacent cities.
